“Twin-Cities” International Association (TCIA)
The “Twin-Cities” International Association is the legal successor of the Association for the Relations between Soviet and Foreign Cities that functioned between from 1964 till 1991.
The Association aims to assist in the interaction of local and regional governments with their partners abroad and eventually – to cement the trust, mutual understanding and friendship between peoples and nations.
The TCIA is closely cooperating with the national associations of local and regional governments in the USA, Europe and Asia, regularly holding major bilateral assemblies of twin and sister-cities.

Volgograd has been a member of the TCIA since 1991.
Volgograd’s participation in the work of the TCIA allows our city to promote relevant projects in the area of people’ s diplomacy, strengthen and develop our relations with twin and sister-cities, as well as find new partners.
